The other side of John Abraham He may have been playing the roles of ‘tough guy’ in his films, but there is another side to the character of John Abraham , which isn’t tough. For the forty children suffering from life threatening diseases, it was an unforgettable experience to meet up with John, courtesy the Indian chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation in Mumbai. Known for his macho image, John’s presence was a wish come true for children like Mahesh Muttapalli. "I am feeling great. I played a lot of games, I played the bike games, the car games, the ball games. I am very fond John Abraham," Muttapalli added. John distributed gifts to the children, which included cycles, toys and even music systems. He said society needs to do its bit towards the happiness of these children. "I've met a lot of them (children). It was very special and what I like most about Mahesh is that he is very uninhibited, very cool, not conscious of the camera or the things around him, he is very open about the way he feels. He took me around to play all the games, I have given him my personal contact number so we are going to be in touch," John said. "These people are very special and I want this to reach out to the common man so that they can come and help these people because they really need it," he added. This year about 6,000 children from across India, who have been diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions, have got their wishes fulfilled. Members of the Foundation say they face no problems in arranging finances as film stars, business houses and corporates always lend a helping hand for their cause. Make-A-Wish Foundation, India is a registered charitable institution affiliated to Make-A-Wish Foundation International (MAWFI), which originated in the USA in the 80s.
